The Nigerians in Diaspora Organizations South Korea is the Asia arm of a global Nigerian Diaspora network. Established for some years and registered under the Companies Act, the organization’s Headquarters is in Seoul from where it serves its Regional Chapters in South Korea.
NIDOSK provides an umbrella to all Nigerians in South Korea. In concert with the other continental arms of NIDO in the Europe, Americas, Asia and Africa, the organization is the largest assembly of Nigerians worldwide.
The Government of Nigeria recognizes the organization as an official platform through which individual Nigerian Diaspora, their Community Organizations, and Corporate Bodies can channel their developmental efforts to Nigeria. In this sense, the organization partners with Nigerian Community / Professional Organizations as well as public and private businesses in focused areas such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), professional networking, stakeholder advocacy, medical missions, educational support and skills transfer to Nigeria.
OUR VISION
The central vision of NIDO South Korea is to bring Nigerians living in South Korea together and to identify those willing to offer their skills (Education, Information Technology, Health, Economic, science, Administration, Law, Political and Corporate Governance, Management etc.) to assist Nigeria’s national development.
These skills will be needed in developmental projects by government and non-governmental organisations. NIDO South Korea as a result requires those Nigerians living in South Korea who can afford to spend a period of time in Nigeria to contribute their skills to help Nigeria’s developmental process.
NIDO South Korea provides the unique opportunity for Nigerians living in South Korea to learn to work and collaborate with one another in the task of nation building of our homeland. The organization strongly believes that Nigerians in South Korea can make significant contributions towards Nigeria through programs, policies, and advocacy to harness their talents, expertise, and resources for Nigeria’s development and nation building.
